Hey guys, I am using an AMD FX-8320E processor with a stock cooler. I use HWMonitor to check my CPU temperatures, and I was wondering what would be a temperature considered as "overheating" for this CPU in particular.

Solution
Anything over 70C would be overheating. The FX series runs hot as it is, I had to switch to liquid cooling for my 8350, as it was reaching 60-65+ temps during gaming. Now with a closed loop liquid cooler, I rarely go over 35-45C.

So should I just overclock to a setting that would be in the 40-60 range?

If I am reading this correctly, I am going at 4.0 ghz with a stock cooler and getting a solid 52-53 degrees Celsius. Is this considered rare? I'm using AMD Overdrive.

I mean it depends on your room temperature and how much air intake your case is getting. If your room temperature is quite cold and your case has an open windows then receiving lots of air, it wouldn't be that rare.
