Question for PSU expert on Graphic Cards like Polaris R9490????

Well we would expect the specs of the 490x to be on par with the GTX 1080. Nothing regarding the performance of the 490/x has been released and therefore we just have to assume. I believe that the 490x will perform the same as the 1080 because the 390x was very close to the 980 and this year AMD have the advantage in their finFET architecture. It is also likely that the 490x will be better than the 1080, because AMD executives have indirectly stated that they are not impressed with the Geforce of this year.
AMD MAY hit a homerun this year, but that is only my own thinking.

I do not know how much the 490x will consume, but since they have made revolutionary improvements on power consumption, i feel very safe to buy myself a 490x with...

The R9 490/x will be much better on power consumption. I expect them to be at GTX 970 consumption level and therefore either one will do fine. However, they seem to be the same price so get the higher wattage. (Evo)
