So I built a new computer.
i7-6700k
z170x Gigabyte Motheboard
500GB Sandisk SSD
Oldish 2TB HDD is also installed for storage
GTX 1080 is on its way
Win7 OS

Tonight, after shutting down computer, I instantly turned off my monitor. Noticing it did not boot off in the usual 10 seconds, I turned my monitor back on to see that my computer had frozen on the Win7 "Shutting Down" screen.
After checking back five minutes later, I turn my monitor back on and am greeted with flashing static and odd noises coming from my audio output. It sort of freaked me out to put it lightly, and concerns me that something may fatally be wrong with it.
If anyone has any input, please share. I'm not even sure what caused it, let alone the implications which such an anomaly has.

What happens when you shut down your system via windows is this.

It sends a signal or set of commands to each bit of hardware connected to the motherboard to initialize the hardware to get ready for a system shut down, or power off of the system.

If a hardware device does not receive this signal from windows on the shutting down procedure.
The system can hang or freeze Subdrek.

It does not happen very often but there can be times where a bit of hardware fails to receive the signal.
In a sense causing the lock up of the system when windows is attempting to shut down, or power the whole system off.

Even on the systems I have had, it has done the same thing.

You can normally tell if the case because sometimes also on powering the system back up when windows goes to load it may sometimes want to perform a disk check of the hard disk in your system due to a failed or in complete shut down of it.

But it`s nothing to worry about if it happens once in a blue moon.
If it becomes a frequent problem then things should be looked into as the cause of it ok.
