Hi,
I'm looking to finally upgrade from my old laptop to my first gaming desktop, and was wondering if I could get some advice on a good build for my budget of $1500 CAD (not including monitor, keyboard, etc.). I'm essentially looking for something that will let me play most current games (along the lines of Fallout 4, for example) at high settings in 1080p.

I should mention that I'm not planning on overclocking at all, and I would prefer a Skylake processor, 16GB of RAM, both a large (3TB+) hard drive and an SSD (250GB), and Windows 7. Besides those specifications, I'm not terribly picky (and I would be willing to settle for Windows 10 if it seems like the better choice).

Since it's my first gaming desktop, I am having someone more experienced do most of the building while I help, and they have suggested this build to me:

Intel Core i5 – 6400 2.70 Ghz CPU (Socket 1151 Skylake)
MSI B150 Pro-VD Socket 1151 Mainboard
Crucial Ballistix 8GB X 2 = 16GB DDR4 PC-2400
Western Digital 3TB Blue SATA3 Hard Drive
Samsung EVO750 250GB Full Encryption SSD
MSI GTX970 4GB O.C PCI Express 3.0 Video Card DVI/HDMI
Realtek 8.1 Surround Sound Card w/Equalizer
LG 24X DVD-RW Drive
Zodiac G300 Full Gaming Tower
12CM Blue LED Case Fan Exhaust
eVGA 600W Gaming Grade Power Supply
Windows 7 Professional 64 Bit OEM
TP-Link WD8400 450Mbps PCI Ex WiFi Card

Cost: $1,479.99 + Tax

I was wondering if I could get feedback/advice on this build, or an alternative build that might fit what I want better/be more cost effective? Also, I am largely searching on NCIX for parts since there is one within driving distance, so any advice regarding NCIX parts/builds would be fantastic as well.

Thank you; any help at all is greatly appreciated!

I would recommend to build it your self. The above build is over priced.
