Ok so i have had an idea to go through the process of adding a water cooler to my graphics card now could I just add a ekwb waterblock onto my gpu and then detach/cut the ends of an unused corsair hydro series h55 and just attach them to my block without even having a water cooling loop

I would disagree that this is a good idea. They already make modification kits for some of the Kraken coolers with mounts to graphics cards without modifying the cooler. It also means you don't have to buy another block.

Either way, both ideas (in my mind) aren't really ideal, but that's my opinion.

This is very risky. Not only are you risking dumping water on your system, you are adding another block to a pump that was never designed for anything other than the exact block and radiator it has now. I would not recommend this.
