I have a GTX 780 ti boost and when playing battlefield hardline (on recommended settings) (or benchmarking) my computer will crash unless in battlefield I set the graphics setting so the minimal pretty much and set the res to 1280 x 720. I'm ordering a new psu as I have read that the one I've currently got is garbage. But there is one thing. Occasionally a bit before or right on a crash, my computer will smell like burning plastic or something like that. What do you think is wrong?

Lol just noticed the first review has a 780 ti and it says it can't run! on top of that i have a couple hard drives and an xeon 8 core proccesor. Well I guess that solves the problem! Still tell me if I'm wrong because I really don't want this comp crashing on a game it should easily handle.

The psu I'm getting seems to be good! I'm getting this: http://www.corsair.com/en-ca/hxi-series-hx850i-high-performance-atx-power-supply-850-watt-80-plus-platinum-certified-psu If you have any recommendations or anything I should know please tell me!

Yes that power supply is garbage only 46A on the 12V rail= 552 Watts. Nothing near the rated 850 watts.
That video card has a TDP of 250 Watts. 750 Watts of power would run what you have fine but no reason not to go a bit bigger.
Both very good choices and lower priced than the Corsair.
