My bad, the post should say that I purchased an Asus A55BM-E motherboard with an AMD a10 6800k ap. But that it won't boot up past the Windows logo start up and from there simply freezes and restarts. It's not an issue with the hard drive as I've tested the hard drive on another pc and the os booted fine. So I don't know what could be wrong ? I have 8gb pny 1600 DDR3 ram as well and Windows 7 64 bit.

Using 1600MHz memory will cause a loss in performance.
You should do a clean install of windows on the Asus A55BM-E motherboard and not be moving a hard drive with Windows around between PCs because it works on one of them.
