No dedicated sound card. My motherboard is a Asus Z170k so i don't think the sound quality is all that good, i play overwatch on the competitive side. I just bought a new computer so buying a new sound card won't work out for me. To sum it up i need to be able to pinpoint the enemy/hear their footsteps and i don't know what to get there's a lot of options. Your opinions would be great but i have some questions too!
1. Razer tiamat 7.1 and the Asus STRIX 7.1 all boast "True 7.1 surround sound" basically just copied and pasted that, would this be good for just gaming/footsteps?
2. There's the Hyperx Cloud 2 which uses 7.1 Virtual Surround Sound, i do kinda know the difference but i have no idea which one is better for footsteps.
3. There's this headset that says something about "Dts surround sound" does this require a sound card? Cause i won't be able to afford one of those ;c .
4. What do you guys think of the true 5.1 gaming headsets?
