Hello,
I have an gaming laptop, ASUS G73JW-TY190V http://www.cnet.com/products/asus-g73jw-ty190v-17-3-core-i5-460m-4-gb-ram-500-gb-hybrid-drive/specs/
& want to upgrade my RAM to 16GB or 8GB.

Here's what I have now: Memory -DDR3 SDRAM, 1066 MHz / PC3-8500, ,SO-DIMM 204-pin, Slots Qty 2, Empty Slots 0.
Chipset Type : Mobile Intel HM55 Express.

The Intel HM55 will only work with an architecture of 16 tablets 256Mx8bits,
the RAM stick has to have 16 inserts & not 8.
As far as I have seen, the "256Mx8" is not specified anywhere on ie. Patriot, Corsair, Crucial RAM stick specs.

Where can I find 8GB or 4GB RAM sticks with 256Mx8 architecture ?

Thanx!

Order them from a place that guarantees compatibility, if any does. Are you sure the laptop will support 4 GB or 8 GB modules? All sites that checked sell 1 GB and 2 GB modules. There are no reasons why it wouldn't work, but finding dual sided modules (16 ICs, 8 on each side) will be a challenge.
