Can't get 2400MHz from a 2400MHz RAM

Hello guys, so I have this pc:
AMD A-10 7850k
ASUS A88x-PLUS
Corsair 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 2400MHz (CMY16GX3M2A2400C11R)
(Other stuff)
Then when I try to run full speed on RAM, but I can't get 2400MHz, just 1600 =/
By searching a little, I found out there's a QVL (Qualified Vendor List) for this MoBo at https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/A88XPLUS/HelpDesk_QVL/, which comes to show a slightly different version of this mem I've got... a C10 or C9, instead of my C11.
Is there any way for me to run this mem at 2400 on this MoBo? I've tried setting times from an accepted version (from qvl), but couldn't help xD
The big problem is that I can't find out to buy other compatible mem and can't afford the one from g.skill, only one I found out...
Thx very much ;)

Solution
Yeah; I don't know how to take a screenie of the bios but, absolutely ddr3 2400 : For sure AI Tweaker page, AI tuner, Set to D.O.C.P and there should be an option directly below that to use the DRAM D.O.C.P memory profile which will use system detected timings for the mem.

Just under that a couple of rows down is memory frequency; which is certainly set to 2400mhz in my bios.

The system tells me if it's going to accept the settings; if I do not select the D.O.C.P profile the system throws a wobbly. beeps. fails to boot and stops at the post screen, sets the memory to 1333mhz and refuses to do anything unless I manually enter the timings...

I have 2x8gb corsair that isn't on the compatibility list for my board & it took me a while to work out how to get it to 2400mhz; In the AI tweaker page of the bios (supposing yours is similar) if you set the AI overclock tuner to D.O.C.P and then select the D.O.C.P profile that the system has auto-generated for your memory, save & exit you should be able to run at full speed. I also worked around it before that by manually entering the memory timings; but that weren't ideal because I only knew a few of the values; the rest of them were all termed differently so I left them on auto.

There should be something in the bios that will get you to 2400mhz. piledriver isn't 'supposed' to memory scale like steamroller; but I have overclocked it to the max. I can manage anyway.

It goes up 4.0 on OC, tried so to D:
When I look up the tables, the timings for this mem are these you put, put couldn't get full speed, also tried desperately 10-12-12-31, which is the speed set for the compatible corsair, also tried manual :/
I'll take a look at the NB voltage to see if I can change it.
Note: the north bridge gets really hot and the pc shuts down randomly, not sure if these are correlated xD

Had a little problem on my power supply this week, so I can't teste it right now, maybe this week, but I really messed with the bios and the AI tweaker page, but couldn't get it all.
Recently I noticed the bios wasn't updated, so I'll try a little more asap and tell the results here
thx you all guys ;)

Fraken, I've tried to set the original timing and also auto, but still couldn't get it xD
When you did this, you got full speed at full ram, I mean no underating?

At least that's how it is on my sabertooth.

It took me a long time to figure it out because at first it gave every indication that 2400 simply wasn't going to work. Then after a bit of messing about I just stumbled on the setting that worked; I had tried many combinations of settings but sometimes you just hit on the right one.

I haven't done anything to the voltage of the north bridge; just auto. & I can do 4.9ghz at ddr3 2400. vCore is about 1.464. My dimms are 1.65v rather than 1.5 but the bios had no issue detecting that itself.

I guess the sabertooth was an ace buy; time and time again it has kept on performing where other boards fell by the wayside.

Odd though; the FM2 boards should memory scale by design. Therefore you should not need to alter any voltages.
