I want to buy Fl studios to make some music. Under system requirements it says a sound card is needed.

Here is a link from the Florida studios page describing what sound card to get
https://support.image-line.com/knowledgebase/base.php?ans=62

Will this sound card be good?

Also here is my current system.

If some one could help that would be great.

They recommend a sound card, because they figure if you are going to spend the time and money on that software, you are into actual music production. Along with all the other bits needed for real music production...studio quality speakers, high end headphones, a good acoustic room, etc.

Will it work without? Probably.

Ok and also do u recommend the first basic version for 100 dollars or the professional version for 200 dollars. The only difference I could tell was audio recording.

Also is there a free trial becuase I downloaded the program and made an account but at the moment when I put in notes and hit play I can't hear anything. Is that becuase I need to buy it or get the free trial first.

Ok I wasn't sure if the sound wasn't working becuase either my on board motherboard sound isn't good enough or if I really needed a sound card. But I'll keep researching just in case.
