Both low end cards I know but I have the chance to snag one for virtually nothing, and at the moment, my graphic card is terrible (it cant even run old games on steam like skyrim). I know that both of these are better then the one I currently have but I can't understand a lot of the computer lingo that goes around, so I don't know which one of these is better out of the two.

If anyone could help me speak computer and could explain which is best in layman's terms, that would be great, thanks! (If it tells you how uneducated I am, I thought 610 would be better because its got a higher number on it. Lol.)

The way the number scheme works is XYZ. X = generation, Y = Tier, Z = Modifier. The tiers for the most part are more important than the generation, meaning a 660 (Mid range) is better than a 750 (Low range). Gaming cards typically start at 5 and end at 8 for the tier, so a 5 is low, 6-7 is mid, 8 is high end. So a 610 isn't even remotely a gaming card, where a 560 ti is a very strong mid range card from the 500 series. Though a 660 is superior to a 560 ti, the other 600 cards below it would be weaker.
