I am trying out a three monitor setup, but when I hook up my split-er it duplicates the 2nd screen on to the third. I would like to have 3 distinct displays to increase multitasking. My computers specs are:
AMD Radeon R9 200 Series
Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU X3470 @ 2.93GHz
12 GBs of RAM (not that matters)
1.5 TBs Storage
MB's name is unknown

Those won't work if the OP has two VGA monitors as the card only outputs a single analogue...
that is the nature of splitter, it just splits the signal.
You would need to use separate outputs from the graphics card for each monitor. If no compatible outputs exist on card. (most likely there are no vga outputs, you need two) you could use adapters.
for HDMI output:

For displayport output:

Those links are examples. You could find cheaper alternatives which work just as well.

Those won't work if the OP has two VGA monitors as the card only outputs a single analogue signal. For AMD cards the DP port has to be used if you want to run more than two monitors IIRC.
