I was looking to build a new computer really soon. Currently I have a Intel 3570k. I was thinking of buying the Intel 6600k but when I was comparing the two it seems it's not that much of an upgrade. I know the 6600k is an energy saver but that doesn't really concern me. I also know that 6600k does support DDR4. I use my computer to play games. So is it worth the money to upgrade or should I save my money? Thank you.

Solution
A RAM upgrade to minimum 16GB would be the logical path for now.
Decent gains can also be achieved with an i7-3770 (K or non-K) - from your PassMark of 7141 to one of 9339.

If you have money to upgrade then you may want to invest in more RAM if you have 4GB or below, an SSD if you are using a HDD or a new GPU if your old one is no longer cutting it. I personally wouldn't upgrade that CPU as the ratio between cost and performance is not high enough for me to warrant the expense.

I have 8gb of RAM. I am planning on buying the new gtx 1080. I was just gonna build a new computer from scratch but after looking at the little performance increase I think I'm gonna stick with my current cpu and save my money. I also have an ssd. So I'm good there. Thanks for the quick responses.
