hi, I have a core i5 2500 and gpu HD 7850. I can nearly run all games at mid settings at 1800p display. Suppose if i can upgrade just one rite now, which component should i upgrade first. My cpu or my gpu?

Solution
Your CPU is still great to run modern day games just fine. I am still using an even older CPU than yours a Core i5 750 at 3.6Ghz and it rarely a bottleneck to my overclocked Radeon 7950. If you feels need of faster gaming performance simply upgrade your GPU to a newer one. I recommend you to wait until AMD releases Polaris that would offer you considerable boost in gaming performance while still consuming similar power to that of your current 7850 thanks to Polaris being a next gen architecture at 14nm process.
what power supply do you have in your system ? what is your budget ?

generally speaking if you cannot afford to replace your sandy bridge platform for skylake at the moment
the graphics card is more important for gaming and cheaper to replace .
you will see solid performance increase if you will buy something like amd 380x .

but as mentioned above you might as well wait a while longer for the new cards
(right now only nvidia high-end cards are coming out though)
