Hello,
I am planning to buy the components below:
PSU: Xfx core ts 550 ,
motherboard: MSI Z170A GAMING M3.
Will I be able to use my radeon hd 5700 (eah5770), and GTX 1070 in the future? I am pretty sure PCI-E is reverse compatible, but I am a newbie in terms of power connectors. Im pretty sure GTX1070 has 1 x 8-pin, and my radeon uses 1 x 6-pin.

Solution
The xfx has a 6+2 pin pcie, designed specifically for either 6pin or 8pin usage so you'll be good. The 1070 is purportedly a 225w card, same as a gtx960 so a 550w psu will be more than needed by a decent margin. Since the hd5770 only needs a 430w psu, you'll be good all around. No worries.
