Trying to find out how to how to find my computer's ddr for the ram.

I don't need to know how to find out how much ram my computer has, I need to know what type of RAM it is (ddr1,ddr2,ddr3) . I am on Windows 8.1. I looked an answer at someone else that asked a question like this and it didn't help me at all.

do you know what components do you have in your pc? or do you have any way to find them ?

Download and run Speccy. It will tell you how much and what type RAM you have. You can also use CPU-Z.

If it came with Windows 8, it will be DDR3 but turn off the power and open the case - it's the long skinny bit of plastic sitting in a slot on the motherboard.

More fun than Speccy or Crucial and definitely more fun than paying someone to fit whatever you buy.
