Best LGA 1151 my build

I am new to computers, and I am going to make my first build soon. Im using a 6700k CPU but I need a good motherboard. I do not plan to overlock but I want the best that there is. I was looking at two motherboard already but I need someone to give me some advice. The two motherboards I am looking at is the Asus ROG Maximus VIII Formula and the Asus ROG Maximus Extreme/Assembly edition.

Both way overpriced for what you get. Look for a board in the 150 buck area, your not even planning on overclocking you could get a 100 buck board and not see any difference than using anything else. Their absolutely no reason to spend 350 bucks on a motherboard.

So there is no difference in performance? Sorry I'm still learning about in depth computer stuff. I plan gaming regularly on the computer and i'm going to use a GTX 1080.

For just gaming and not overclocking you could put the same parts in a 80 buck B150 motherboard and never notice the difference.
