When I plug my ethernet cable and adapter into my macbook pro the fans start going loudly and fast and the macbook starts to get very hot (almost untouchable).

I can't get wifi in my room so I use ethernet via home plugs.

I only will only have 2 apps or less open and bluetooth headphones connected and it will get very hot. It is placed on a solid desk with no case or anything blocking the fans and normally work normally.

When I try and run games (I know its not a gaming pc/laptop) but they run very laggy. CS GO normally runs at 60fps at max settings but now when I plug in an ethernet cable it only runs at about 30/20 fps at medium.

I have
MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Late 2013)
Os X 10.11.5 (the latest I believe)

I don't want to spend any money getting it fixed if i can

Any suggestion thanks

Solution
Sounds like whatever your Ethernet cable is connecting too (Home Plug?) is faulty (Packet Storming); leaving it connected for any time may be causing damage to your MacBook Pro.
