Can I use applications and games that I have installed on a drive which has a 32-bit OS on a drive which has a 64 bit OS?

I have windows 7 home premium 32-bit and I want to install 64 bit windows 7 on a seperate drive so I can access all 8 gigs of ram I have installed but I was wondering if I could still use the games I have installed on my current drive which has a 32-bit OS or do I have to install them again for the 64-bit os?

Solution
depends on the game itself. some will work and others won't. really going to be game dependent. i use a ton of 32-bit stuff on my 64 bit os but also have a bunch that needed specific 64-bit installs. i'm not sure if steam or origin makes a difference. can give it a try and see, but never really tried anything but fresh installs for each os.

real problem is that most installs put files in a bunch of places and simply running the exe from a different drive rarely works as the exe is not registered with your new os and such.
