So I built a new rig a few weeks ago, I have an fx-6300 and an Evo 212. Upon putting the 212 onto the brackets and screwing it down, I noticed a lot of resistance and didn't want to screw it down any further out of fear of hurting the cpu. I haven't overclocked it yet, but plan to do so today or tomorrow. It currently hovers at around 40 degrees celsius at idle, and around 45 when playing League of Legends with a few browser windows open. I screwed the screws down about 3/4th's of the way. Are my temperatures running fine? And would I need to screw it down all the way to overclock it? Is it going to hurt the cpu if I screw it down more? It feels like it's all going to snap if I continue screwing. Thanks.
