I just recently upgraded my power supply from some sketchy 300w to an evga 500w 80+ silver. I also bought 16gb of ddr3. I'm ready to upgrade the rest of my components, but not sure if my power supply will be capable of running everything safely. Looking at the fx-8370 with wraith fan, asus 970 pro gaming motherboard, evga gtx 970 4gb ftw, and currently have a 7200rpm 3tb seagate barracuda hd. I only would be running 2 120mm case fans, maybe a third if I can get away with it.
edit - I won't be overclocking anything. However, this will be used for hd video editing/ rendering and for casual to some power needy titles like battlefield
