Hello guys,
Just to let you know, I am a complete noob.

Recently I kinda had this confusion. My motherboard has an onboard graphics (duh, it has VGA, DVI, etc ports on the back.)

And my i5 processor also has an integrated graphics which is HD 4400 from Intel.

I am kinda confused which Graphics is actually being used? Is it both of them because my display is connected from the VGA port in the back of my MOBO and the port is linked with my onboard graphics?

Or is it that, however only my integrated processor graphics is being used?

Please HELP. Cheers

Solution
There is only one. The motherboard is just the METHOD in which the graphics get from the CPU to the monitor. There haven't been any motherboards with actual integrated graphics onboard in quite some time. If you don't have a discreet GPU card installed, then you are using the HD 4400 graphics from the CPU.
