Intel H81 Chipset or Intel B85 Chipset

the B85 is $39 extra is it worth it or not much difference?

gaming and 3d rendering setup

Definitely get the B chipset. You will need the better voltage control and power regulation. I say look for something from MSI or Gigabyte. I know Gigabyte and MSI makes a decent B85 boar in the $80-$120 range. Yes, the B85 is more expensive than H81, but for what you are doing it's worth it. Asus makes the B85 Pro board, which is the best B85 board out there, but it's about $200 in the USA.
