Hi,

I have some files containing PHP, Js and cs files. I used this files using XMAPP with "localhost\\foldername.com" on the browser and it worked fine as it should, opening a normal Web page. I needed this to happen with a simple online Link something like "http://foldername.com. So I hosted the files on Biz.nf and tried to do it with the FTP thing, using "ftp://username@host/foldername.com". Instead of opening a Web page it basically showed the File directory.

How can I do it, what am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance!

Use a specialized FTP client like FIleZilla or atleast use Internet explorer, as it;s able to switch toi FTP mode.
The propper URL would be
Code:
ftp://username:password@ftp.host.com\foldername

Ya, thats what I tried. But it opens the List of files. I need it to open as a Website, read the PHP files and stuff.

Only FTP link. Do I need to make a Domain?

So did a quick check, Biz.nf is a webhosting site, correct? When you signed up, they should have given you an ftp link, so that you could put files on the website, and a subdomain or domain name (something like user.biz.nf or yourthinghere.com), so you can actually visit the webpage. Your files will be accesible for viewing as webpages through that domain/subdomain.

Edit If you don't have anything that matches the patterns above, perhaps your domain was something like yourthinghere.co.nf

Ok, it works with HTML files, looks like PHP is not allowed in free version.

Really appreciate if anyone can tell me a PHP supported free hosting site.
Anyway, Thanks everyone!

Not used them for a long time as I have no need but they were 100% the best free one IMO.
Minimal ad popups , you can register with a webmail email address (many other free providers insist on a proper ISP email Addy for registration)

You do agree to pass that email Addy to 3rd party advertisers when you sign up but nothing is 'completely free' so to be expected.

I created a separate gmail address just for them & to be fair only got 10-15 related emails per week so fairly non-agressive for a very good free service.

Looks like you purchase only FTP access to your files
You need to buy a domain name and link it to your files first
