can my motherboard accept this graphic card

i have a biostar h81mdc and a geforce 610 ddr3 graphics card, i want to upgrade the graphics card i was thinking GAINWARD GeForce GT740 Golden Sample 2GB DDR5 will it work ony this motherboard, if not what other graphic card sholud i buy.

yes. not sure why it would even be a question? are you new to all this?

also, in my opinion the gt 740 will not be that much of an upgrade...i highly, HIGHLY suggest to keep saving your money and get something just a bit better. aim for a gtx 750ti and no less. you will be much happier with that.

in the US where i am, the gtx 750ti is like less than $20 more than the gt 740...and its quite a better card.

are u thinking of the Gainward GeForce® GTX 750 2GB?
i am new to this, i see my motherboard has a 1 x PCI-E x16 2.0 Slot, but on the graphics card it says it uses a PCI-Express 3.0 x 16 bus. thats why i asked

no im thinking about any GTX 750ti out there. your motherboard will work just fine with any single graphics card you can buy these days. what country are you in?

oh ok i had a feeling we probably werent in the same country. i really would suggest getting your hands on the cheapest GTX 750 Ti you can. it will be far and away so much better than the GT740.

and yes, i am talking about the GTX 750 Ti. NOT the plain jane GTX 750. although the plain jane GTX 750 wouldn't be so bad either. still a nice step up from the GT 740 for not much more money.
