No beeps on start up. Help me confirm if my mother board is dead.

I just built a new rig, and it is not working. Everything is powering up, but there are no beeps on starting up from the PC, nor is there any image output to my monitor. So, I am asking to confirm that my case speaker is plugged in and that the lack of start up beeps are a symptom before I start dealing with a replacement claim.

Just to confirm. NO start up images or BIOS is shown, nor is there any output to the monitor at any point. I am getting a power light on the front, but no HDD activity light.

I want to know if the case speaker is hooked into the front panel audio header, and if not, then through what?

Solution
Case speaker or in other words warning audio device is usually connected to Front Panel Header or close to it. Some MBs have it built in. It usually has 4 pins but only 2 far ones have wires.

Thanks for the info . Thanks to you I have found that my case did not have a built in speaker, and an Internet search told me how to find the plug in speaker shipped in the extra wires. That led further to diagnosis of my problems and an RMA from the manufacturer.

Thanks again.
