hi, I was literally using and gaming on my pc yesterday and I remember after a while it just shut down. now it starts up and after a few seconds shuts down and I have no idea why. if I leave it a while I can get so far as logging in then it shuts down

I can't see any red lights on the motherboard, or atleast they disappear before it dies, or hear any beeps and I have tried removing the CMOS and I don't know what else to try.

Solution
It`s more than often a sign that something is wrong with your power supply unit of the computer.

If the unit is quiet old, or of a cheap brand name, or has been put under a lot of stress or load because it cannot provide enough wattage all of the system components such as the graphics card when gaming.

The best bit of advice to confirm the power supply is the cause is to test the system with another power supply if you have one from another system with the same wattage output as the unit you have in your system.

Or if you can borrow a friends power supply, if they are good enough to lend you there's for testing.

If you system becomes stable and does not crash, power off or randomly restart with the other power supply connected to...

Then it`s time to buy a new power supply Tim.
