I'm not overclocking, and I even tried underclocking quite a bit and the issue is still present although maybe not as bad. The AMD driver does crash at times too. I have tried this card on another PC, also tried to make sure it was getting sufficient cooling and tried different driver versions. Anything else I could try before I RMA it?
Not sure if this might help a little, but I was also playing an older game and on the main menu my card would make a rather strange hissing sound which was awkward and I made sure it wasn't the fans. The problem was solved when I tried either limiting the FPS or forcing Vsync, so I suppose the FPS was "too high"? Weird.
