Gateway Fx6860 Motherboard - P03-A3 AMI Legacy Bios
8gig ddr 3 memory
Radeon 7700 gpu
Windows 10 64bit
850 watt power supply
I ordered a Radeon R9-390 off newegg and I was unable to get it to display on my computer. Bios are as updated as I could find, no support for UEFI. Correct drivers. Cables and power all secured. No display, no post beep with new card. Old card was put back in and works as intended.
Is the r9 390 a faulty card? OR Is my PC not compatible? Should I try the Nvidia GTX 970 instead? I would like to upgrade my GPU but don't feel like wasting my time if my PC won't be able to handle it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
