Hi Guys,
I built my PC a year ago and I have had a few issues, I have just got time to sort it out now.

My PC would randomly power up without me pressing the power button and the BIOS would reset.

Also, my PC would randomly shut down after being on stand-by and would take a long time to start power up since I press the power button and it doesn't power on...

Thank you!
Kuran

1| Can you please pass on your full system's specs inclusive of you OS and connected peripherals?
2| Your post reads out to look like a PSU issue while it also looks like the CMOS battery is failing. Have you replaced your CMOS battery with a fresh cell?
3| Have you made sure your BIOS is up to date?

What is the PSU's brand and model? If you see it in tier five below, replace it ASAP. Most of tier four is also questionable.

A dying PSU may mistrigger the motherboard's power management circuitry and could definitely cause random shutdowns or restarts.
