I believe it would work, but the sound card isn't needed, and I would go with a better cooling solution. Such a build, imo, should have an SSD. What kind of budget do you have, not counting the graphics card?

I wasn't realy setting too much of a limit but if it could be below £1500 it would be good. Do you have any suggestions as to what i could change the cooling system to, and what size of an SSD to get cause i don't really have that much of an idea?

For an ssd I'd go for a 240 or 250GB one. Use it for your OS and maybe most played games or frequently used apps.

I was thinking of getting the 1070 cause i'm not planning on doing VR or 4K for a good while at least and Gamespot's benchmarks show that the 1070 is good for anything lower. Do you have any idea if the 1070 would still work with the rest of this setup?

Yea, the 1070 would work just fine. I mainly said GTX 1080, as it would last you a bit longer, before it needed to be upgraded.
