I am building a gaming PC and have came across I can't decide on my own.
The CPU I have is a Intel i7-6700K and the Motherboard I'm getting is a GIGABYTE G1 Gaming GA-Z170X-Gaming 7 (rev. 1.0).
The question is, what MHz of RAM should I get? Also I'm wanting to put 16Gb in this PC.
The board ranges from 2133 - 3866 OC.
I have not been able to find out the range the CPU supports...
What range of MHz of RAM do I have to work with?

Solution
You can select any MHz of DDR4 RAM.

It is related to the speed of the RAM, but it makes very little difference in actual performance.
Generally speaking bigger is better, and you should be able to get the OC speeds based on the rest of your hardware.
