sadly, the 4460 was all I could afford, so there's not much I can do in regards to buying another one. I really want to play doom and was wondering what's the best card I can get performance wise without bottlenecking the CPU. Thanks for any help

If you want value-for-money, check newegg every 24 hours and look for GTX 970 and AMD 390 on shell shocker deal.

If you can get either one of them for half of the price of 1070 and you still get half of the performance I would say it is a good deal.

GTX 970 or 390 can get you high or ultra on 1080/60 fps for the next 2 years. Unless you have a 1440/144 fps gaming monitor, 1070 (or even 1080) is an over-kill.

basicly any single gpu will work without a bottleneck
i think a 1070 is a good gpu for that or if its going to be cheap a 960
