I am moving my computer over to a new case and want to upgrade the RAM. I currently have 2 sticks of Corsair Vengance DDR4 2400MHz 4GB. I am unable to use another 2 Sticks as my CPU cooler overhangs one of the slots. Therefore I was wondering if I could place an 8GB stick in the available place (same brand and frequency) and not suffer any issues?
By the way, my motherboard is the ASUS Z170-P (if that helps)
Thanks

The mixed DRAM might play, might not, there are no guarantees when mixing packages of DRAM 9even if you got a set of the same exact model of DRAM you already have. If you try and have problems, can often get them to play with timing/voltage adjustments but again, no guarantees

Yes. It will support. Max is 64 GB ( 4 x 16 GB)

Yes I understand that thanks. So it accepts RAM of different quantities, as I thought they would require different voltages and such?
Thanks
