Hey guys

I am about ready to build my new gaming/streaming rig.
I originally was going for just a gaming rig but all these new hardware has just come out and I felt like I have the potential to build a solid rig that can handle gaming and streaming at the same time, but now I am very flustered with what to pick.as in components.

I am very set on the GTX 1080 as my GPU (Just waiting for the Ausu and MSI models to be released to make my final pick) and also I have my Case, Cooling, PSU and SSD/Hardrives mapped out.

But I am having trouble picking the CPU, Motherboard and ram.
As the new Intel I7 CPUs have been released with the choices of the 6800k, 6850k, 6900k and the ridiculous 6950x (Which I have no intention paying that kind of amount of money for).
I feel the 6800K will be just fine but will it actually "be just fine".. I don;t want to go to the cheapest and not get the performance I need to be gaming at Ultra 1080p or even ultra at 1440p and also streaming at (1080p and 60fps if required)
As for the motherboard I have my eyes set on the MSI Gaming 9 ACK and For Ram G.skill Trident 4x8gb (I have not much knowledge of RAM at all)

Would love for some advice and what I should be going for to be able to complete these tasks with out worrying about performance loss in anyway.

Thanks!

But i have provided on my post what I want to be able to achieve with my build?
I should not have to provide on how much I want to spend, as I have a fair bit of money to spend on it anyway. But of course I am not spending $2500 on a cpu because that is just ludicrous.

Like I have said in my post, Will an Intel I7 6800k suffice for gaming At high settings on 1080p and streaming at 1080p 60 fps with out to much of an peformance hit on gaming.

And if so, what mobo an ram do you recommend.

32GB RAM is not really necessary (unless you know 16 is not enough).
As for the MB, don't go MSI because they use Killer NIC - which is kinda overpriced crap. More troubles than gains.
I'd suggest to go with any Z170 board that have expansions and I/O that you need and matching CPU ;)

But seriously, you are literally gonna go pc part picker and pick some parts that fit in that budget, I'm here asking a legitimate question and you can not answer it because I cannot provide a budget?

Thanks for the reply!

Problem is I am looking for 2011-3 socket mobo, since i am looking at streaming and also playing games at the same time after reading a few reviews not many CPUs can do this without taking much of and performance hit. It is said I should be looking at a intel 5920k or better, which are all fit under the 2011-3 socket type, Not sure if any of the Z170 boards actually support 2011-3 sockets but I may be wrong so correct me on that!

You are correct. Z170 do not support those CPUs.
Still, you picked an expensive MB. Which is fine if you can do that.
The only bad thing about it, is the NIC. For gaming and streaming it's very important.
I'd pick something like Asus X99-A LGA2011-3.

I'll have a look into it!
Not very knowledgeable on the motherboards, I will definitely look at the Asus mobo!
Thank you! :)

If you are going for that costly build there is no reason in holding back at i7-5900K
