What is it going to take to make this ( http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03933829 ) able to run efficiently for newer games. For example, I would like to run overwatch medium settings at the least at 60 fps. What can I do to upgrade this to do so. Also, this is under a budget of around 200-400$ due to just getting into college and having my old gaming PC completely die on me with warranty running out a year ago :(

I would start by getting a new case, the reason i would is for better cooling and being able to know that everything will fit, those HP cases are hard to find any info on.

Case- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119274&ignorebbr=1

I would upgrade your CPU to a newer Generation.

CPU- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113286&ignorebbr=1

You will also need a new motherboard with that CPU

Mother Board- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128565&ignorebbr=1

Next i would definitely get a GPU, your last system didn't have one, this will definitely increase your FPS in games.

GPU- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814126090&ignorebbr=1

Next you are going to want to get a new Power supply, with this hardware you will really be pushing your current Power supply, and thats not counting things like peripherals.

The last thing i think you should get, and the one that will really make your PC fast is an SSD, now if you want to save money you don't have to get one as long as your current hard drive is still working, bu again, it will make your PC so much faster. But again, it will put you over your $400 dollar budget, but it might be worth it.

If you can get that 960 for that cheap, defiantly get that over the 950 that i said.

So far, this one seems the most promising and the one I'm more than likely gonna go with; but not to seem rude by any means, do you think there could be anything cheaper I can go with. my 400$ limit is a bit of a stretch right now and I'll only really be able to have that with in a few months. I can spend around 200-300$ comfortably right now though.

The best way to bring that price down is too 1. By an AMD CPU rather than an intel CPU, i personally like intel more, but AMD makes better CPU's for the money. You can also get a smaller power supply, you can get away with a 430 watt PSU and save 10-15 dollars. another thing i noticed is that he also included RAM, in reality you dont need to really upgrade your current ram, you have 8 gigs of DDR3, and while its not the fastest, it's sufficient for what you want.

To save i would get this CPU- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113326

paired with this mother board- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128565&cm_re=am3%2b-_-13-128-565-_-Product

And you can also get this Power supply and save a few more dollars.- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA1N83U90894&cm_re=430_watt-_-17-438-015-_-Product

That's the only things i would do different over VR PC-Build. That should bring the total price down to about 340 dollars
