I built a new Skylake system for myself and talked my GF into getting the components needed to build a system for her to use to play games with me.

However, the onboard LAN part of that motherboard (an Asus P8P67 Pro) was hit by lightning and she has to use wireless but we want to run wired lan for gaming.

I'm considering buying a new motherboard to replace the Asus but don't want to spend alot on that system.

Rest of the system is:

i5 2500k
8 GB. Crucial ballistix Tracer DDR3
Radeon 6950 flashed to 6970

Any suggestions? Only wanting a solution for motherboard replacement without spending much.

How about this?

Your options are strictly limited to buying second hand off Ebay while looking for P67 chipset boards or Z68 boards. Either of them will set you back a good amount though.
