I wanted the i3 6100 but its only a Dual core. Can I still use the i3 for newer games such as Witchter 3?

If you can afford the i3 stick with it , its 30% or so stronger than the 860k & is hyper threaded so acts as a quad core
There isn't a title out there that it won't play absolutely fine.
