Hey guys,

I have problem with my KINGSTON HYPERX FURY 3000Mhz CL15 4x8GB. I can't get stable stock 3000Mhz with XMP profile, neither with manual settings. My MB just doesn't post and display on it says ERROR 55 (memory not detected)..
I managed to start computer with XMP profile 2 (around 2666Mhz) or with manual 2666Mhz, but it isn't stable and im getting BSOD sometimes.
I tried to raise VCCIO according to topics here, but nothing helped.

Also i can't get stable CPU OC, even with ASUS auto-OC, MB just doesn't post and then says OC failed. Or it starts, but frequently falls to BSOD.
I figured to OC it with some supersimple ASUS OC, which is stable, but too weak.

Last problem is with my GTX 980, i had it in my old computer with 2500K (CM Hyper 212+ EVO) with stable OC according to ( http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/msi_geforce_gtx_980_gaming_oc_review,26.html ).
GPU clock +170 MHz
Power limiter 122%
Mem clock +470 MHz
Volatge + 87Mv

It was stable, in my new rig it isn't, GPU driver is crashing down after few Overwatch matches..

My RIG:
ASUS Maximus VIII Ranger (latest BIOS)
Kingston HyperX Fury 3000Mhz CL15 32GB (4x 8GB)
Intel i7 6700K, Freezer 13
Kingston HyperX Predator 240GB & WD Green 2TB
MSI GTX 980 4GD5T OC
PSU CoolerMaster GM 750W PFC (RS750-AMAAB1-EU)
Fractal Design ARC XL - back fan replaced with Arctic F12 PWM and top fan replaced with 3x CM SickleFlow, but i guess i will change replace them with F12 too, because of PWM.

What's the point? I think i have good enough cooling, can it be problem with my motherboard, or do u have any suggestions?

Thx & sorry 4 my EN

*When running XMP at DDR4 3200 MHz or higher, the system’s stability depends on the CPU’s capabilities.

http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/LGA1151/MAXIMUS_VIII_RANGER/M8R_DRAM_QVL_20160411.pdf?_ga=1.89155419.1543113898.1433214749

even with your 3000 memory I got to wonder ?? things like this is why I ditched asus [high on hype low on quality these days not the same good ol' asus I grew up with by far] heck you all ready got 9 bios updates for '' Improve system stability '' how unstable was it to start with ??

also not much was tested in there list just a hand full of ram at 3000 and up ??

heres what I would do.. it may have issue with 4 sticks . try the set up with 2 in there proper slots and test [i'll near bet with 2 sticks it goes well ]

hey buddy, do u see the CLEAR CMOS -15 in Red on the Motherboard, you'll have to press it a 2-3 times and all your unbalanced BIOS settings will be reset..

I had only 2 sticks before, 2 more sticks arrived yesterday.. Maybe that "old" sticks are defective, i will try to start only with new ones.
OH LOL, i haven't got latest BIOS, i have 1302, its 4 newer versions already out, but that fckn update checkers from ASUS kept this secret.
Ill try it, i guess i can install just latest version, not every single version.

I wanted MSI..
"bad QC, buy ASUS" they said..
OMG

BTW thanks all for only very helpful answers. I appreciate it, i never saw it elsewhere before.

''I had only 2 sticks before, 2 more sticks arrived yesterday''

that right there can be of issue , mixing kits as there not factory matched now as you get in a full 4 stick kit

that's for the most part a golden rule don't mix memory or un matched kits you don't know if the ic's were changed form your first order or not [supject to change with out notice]

Hey bud.. with all due respect,I don't know about other products but the ASUS MAXIMUS RANGER is better than even the MSI Gaming M7 as well as the Gigabyte Gaming 7.. I try to offer opinion only on what I have proof about, see the 3 boards in side-by-side Benchmarks ..

sry bro, im stupid. Its 4x 8GB as i said before - so no 64GB, but 32GB :D

only sticks in the same box kit are guaranteed to play / work together that's why there sold as a full matched kit you may now be down to getting the best you can from the 2 separate kits to make them work together as a set ??

one thing I do see here at toms is Kingston seems to get a lot of threads over other brands ?? but like I said reasons why I dumped asus got to where it was all ways something everytime I fired one up and another bios update for Improve system stability I think I gave up at 18th bios update for one of them. i had enough

looking back you board had all ready 13 bios updates cause in the cpu l;ist it shows 0401 was first release not 0801

That's so bad, i didnt know that it can be any problem when its DDR4, same frequency too, even same P/N..thats weird.
I know, they did not tested it, but why couldnt it be compatible? Yes, i see its some reasons, i didnt know before :(

srtill could be ? until you get more memory [like a gskill or corsair kit] to try and test to prove ?? just because its not on the list don't mean its not goting to work should be as easy as setting the xmp 99% of the time ??? then theres still that 1% factor

maybe tradesman1 will pop in here with some good advice . hes pretty slick at memory

Even being on the motherboard approved list isn't always a guarantee of success. I had a customer buy a Gigabyte and some of the "approved" RAM listed on their website and it crashed and didn't work. New platforms seem like they are extra finicky when they 1st come out. Mixing RAM kits is usually doomed to cause crashes.

What happens if you just use one of the kits at a time is it stable? If nothing else works the Summer Solstice is in late June.

Nope. XMP Profile 1 ERROR 55 with first and second kits alone. Tried both kits, both slots.
Updated to latest BIOS.

Running at 4530Mhz with ASUS EZ auto-tune (103x44) or whatever is that called, i bet i will get BSOD after few Overwatch games again :(

I spend so much money for this sh** and its not working even with high-end HW.. so im running RAM at 2133Mhz for a price of 3000Mhz..so i gave 60$ difference for nothing. And im spending evenings with so many problems :(

I can take a look, but it doesn't make a sense, RAM kits are working 100% OK at 2133Mhz.. at 2666Mhz, they falls to BSOD sometimes..300Mhz = Error 55..
with that problem, they would not work even with 2133Mhz right?

I see what you mean but that error 55 ??? you would think that would pop up at any speed or memory used

whats also funny is I google ''xmp error55 '' how many asus boards pop up in the search

https://rog.asus.com/forum/archive/index.php/t-74772.html

http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=149795

thing I also see on that its like the same as a failed overclock and why it can run at default 2133 ?? funny you got a ''K'' chip so I'd feel that xmp should of kick things in and run at 3000 easy ?

have you tried manually setting up the ram for 3000 ??

i'll look around some more on that error 55

yop, don't you have a "full screen" icon at the right botttom of picture?

Funny fact: stock timing has to be 15/16/16 and its 15/17/17 according to XMP. Both RAM kits same, so its ok.
And i have all 4 8GB units plugged in. Very good

Yo, that may be because you haven't 1920X1080, i see it clearly full screen.
Yop, its showing 3000Mhz with 15/17/17.
and CPU 100x44Mhz = 4,4Ghz, i would like to get 4,6, it may be possible, ill try it later.
Adjusted OC at GPU down little bit and im going to test stability.
Thanks again.
Im using Arctic Freeezer 13.
