I am running a RAID 5 array with 3 SAS drives. My drive to drive write speed is usually only around 500 KBps, and is maxing out at around 10 MBps. I know RAID 5 isn't necessarily fast, but I know this is definitely abnormally slow. What could the problem be?

I am running a Xeon E5-2620 with 16 GBs of memory, a Dell Perc 310 RAID controller, and three 7200 SAS drives in a RAID 5 array set up as three virtual disks. I thought one of the disks might be bad, but I checked that and they were all working fine.
