point-click adventure detective-like game
playing as kids, based in a treehouse, going all over town to talk to people and do stuff
look in houses with flashlights
i remember putting a sign or wanted poster up at the supermarked lol

no, the main characters were children, not a fox. it's also a much less known game i think. otherwise i probably would've found it already. borderbund did make 'the treehouse' but that's not it and is also about 10 or so years before the one i'm looking for.
