Avast Antivirus is using 100% Disk

Ever since i installed Avast, my computer has been slower (100% disk). How could i reduce the percentage of the disk Avast can use so my computer could be faster?

Drop Avast... Use Windows Defender, Malwarebytes Ant-Malware (full-edition) and exercise caution/common sense in your browsing and download habits. Little to no impact to resources and covers all of your needs as a home-user.

I know this does not answer your specific question, but is a better solution.
