CD-R Help Can't seem to download music from Mp3 player format to disc

I Need help okay so I have this CD-R PAQ Memorex Package and It says I need to format it does anybody know or can teach me steps of how I can do that if not, anybody knows any CD-R brands that are capable with windows 7 Dell PC?, Lastly I read an Question relating to this but still no help so, please if you know a brand capable by windows 7 Dell PC or know and can teach me simple steps to make it format able I'd love it if you can get back to me ASAP. [ email don't post it on a public forum] or answer me here that is all thank you guys

CD-R blank CD's are not formated as tman1 stated. When you burn data on them is burned (calling burned is a stretch). If you are looking for software CDburnerXP will do the trick. Once you burn a cd-R they are finalized which means essentially what is burned on them is not not removable. you can copy from it and than burn it again.
