I have purchased a gaming pc about 4 years ago and it is outdated, I want to sell it and possibly build my own pc, but I have no idea where to start. I have never built a pc before and I do not really know what components are good or bad. If anyone has advice for me on where to start and what to do to get informed, what components to choose, please help me, it would be greatly appreciated!:)

Current out dated pc:

This computer is an IBUYPOWER- I-Series 301
Specs-
CPU- AMD FX(tm)-4300 Quad Core 3.80 GHz
RAM- 8 GB
GPU- GeForce GT 610
Motherboard- Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3
HDD- Toshiba DT01ACA200
Power Supply- Allied SL-8320BTX

Hello again!
I'd start by looking at the Tom's guide to how to build one.
http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/build-your-own-pc,2601.html
Or any other of the numerous online guides.
I would also recommend PcPartPicker to piece out a build, it should keep you from making the most awkward mistakes (AMD CPU and Intel motherboard, for example) and maybe post here for input on it before buying.
