Hi there
After reading a lot about how to overclock my cpu, I made the following changes in my Asus z170a bios to reach 4.6gh. Here is what I did:
I set all cores ratio : 46 (all cores)
I changed Vcore voltage from Auto to Adaptive.
I chose +
I set turbo boost vcore voltage 1.260
I set offset :Auto
No changes to RAM (no xmp profile and everything is auto)
Everything seems ok , but I think my cpu temp is not safe especially when I play "Counter-Strike Global Offensive" in "Real temp app" the maximum cpu temp reaches 73 c after playing more than 15 minutes.
My question is that if the temp keeps being around 70 c for a long time , is it dangerous in the future or not?
my rig is:
Cpu:core i5 6600k
Mb: Asus z170a (latest bios)
Ram: G.skill Trident z 4*4 (3200mh)
Cooler: Thermalright TRUE Spirit 120M BW Rev.A
Thanks
