Hello everyone. I've recently built a new pc with i5 4690K, 16Gb RAM, and GTX 970.
My SSD list (all prices are offers I made for used item!):
SK Hynix (SC300) 256Gb for 20 pounds
Samsung 850 Evo 250gb for 50 pounds
Sandisk Extreme II 480gb for 85 pounds
Corsair neutron XT 480gb for 80 pounds

My question is - will I see huge difference between Hynix and other more expensive SSD's (boot-up, program opening)? Maybe you have some experience with Hynix SC300?

I'm leaning to Hynix side because it's real bang for the buck compared to others.
Thanks in advance.

Is that SK Hynix on sale or something usually they are about the same price as the 850 EVO's from what I just read. SK Hynix is a good name they are as very large manufacturer of memory, the VRAM in my gpu is SK Hynix. Seems like a good deal I would go for that considering its price. I linked a review of the 512gb version below. All of those drives are similar in speed, read speed which is 530mbps on the hynix and 540mbps on the samsung this affects your boot speed and load times etc I doubt you would ever notice the difference between the two in read speeds in real world applications. The hynix is a bit slower than the samsung on write speeds but unless you transfer around lots of large files again I doubt you would notice the...

Yes, it will a difference because of the Read/write times. Samsung 850 Evo would be faster than the Hynix. A huge difference? I don't think so. Maybe a matter of seconds depending of the load. Does it matter? Depends on you and if you want that faster boot-up and program opening time for that price.

In my case, it does not worth the price. I have a Kingston SSDNow v300 120Gb and works fine for ~45€. Samsung 850 Evo are better, but for my is not worth the money gap. It's up to you.

EDIT: Check this: Samsung EVO 850: W MAX Speed: 520 MB/s R MAX Speed: 540 MB/s
SK Hynix (SC300): W MAX Speed: 380MB/s R MAX Speed: 530MB/s

So the biggest difference you are going to notice is when you are writting info in the disk (installing sofware, saving documents, etc), not reading (boot-up, loading screens, etc). But there will be a difference due to that being MAX speeds.
