PlayGTAV.exe file missing, Steam user

As it says in the title, the PlayGTAV.exe file has dissapeared, all of the other files are still there. I do not know how to fix this, everytime that i try to start the game directly from the folder it pops up and tells me to start it with PlayGTAV.exe, it also says that it is not downloaded on Steam.
If anyone has any idea of what to do it would be greatly appreciated to share that knowledge.

When a title is grayed out it means it is not installed on your local system.

Right-Click the game title and re-install/re-download the game, then should be good to go

Yes, but since the game is listed as "not downloaded" (the title is faded) it is not possible to do that via Steam.

The thing is this, Steam says it is not installed, but when i go and check where it is installed, all the files except teh one i mentioned are there, about 60 gig. I was hoping that i would not have to reinstall because it takes such a bloody long time. But i am starting to realise that it may be the only option.
