how to set up dual channel memory on a asus z97 ar

how would i do it on bios ? i have a gskills 2x4 (8gb) ram but i cant get them to dual channel i installed them to a2 and b2(as what the user guide say) but it still works on single channel how would i fix this ? i tried a a lot of methods but nothing work

I'd go the Vengeance Pro, very good sticks, ran one of their 32GB 2400 sets for awhile, my sone has them in his Z97 build at the moment - he loves 'em too

Turn on XMP mode thats pretty much all you have to do, in XMP mode it should be set to dual channel. Are you sure the ram is in the correct slots? Your motherboard should say which to use for two 4gb sticks usually they are staggered like this below.

What model # of DRAM (or model #s)? Are they in the 2-4 slot from the CPU? Can try in slots 1-3 from CPU. What does it show in the memory tab of CPU-Z for channels?

And just for info purposes, enabling XMP has nothing to do with dual channel mode. It's the CPU's MC, and the mobo that determine the channel mode regardless of what DRAM

i did everything you said, cpu z says single channel, but i tried putting them 1 by 1 and i think other 1 is broken its weird tho because it got broken when i transferred it to a newer motherboard because i just upgraded to intel 4690k and an asus z97 ar motherboard. when it was in my amd am3+ socket i have zero problems but when i transferred it it got broken. i don't know why ?
