I have 3 BENQ XL2730Z monitors hooked up to 2 GTX 970 cards in SLI mode. I cannot get them to run in Surround mode at 144mhz. When first connected via DVI-D, DP, Hi speed HDMI I can set all of them to 144mhz. When I use the GeForce control panel to set up multiple displays and enable surround the max resolution available drops to 59/60 mhz.
I have talked to NVIDIA tech support and they do not understand why it won't work.
The BENQ support team cannot solve this either as they say the Monitors get their instructions from the Video card. I have looked into Multiple DP adaptors but none of them support 144mhz
Any thoughts would be appreciated

Solution
I would say it's probably just physically impossible for the 970 to run 7680x1440 resolution at 144hz anyways due to Vram limitations.

I'm not sure if even 1 970 could do 2560x1440 at 144hz, and two of them isn't anywhere near double the power, it's like maybe 30% more power.
